Fremont Bull Riding Classics

The sport of bull riding often leaves me in awe and in shock because of the bravery of the bull fighters. In spite of the shock that often overtakes me in watching a bull riding scene, I am also left wondering how is it if viewed live? That is the reason why I am very eager to attend one and see it for myself while I am here in Fremont, Nebraska. I am indeed excited and eager to attend this festival and I cant wait!

In the competition of bull riding, both the bull and the rider are given points which will account to the over-all point. The participant with the highest point wins the ride. Riders never get to choose their own bull. Bulls are scored based on their agility, speed and bucking style. Bucking is what you call the galloping of the bull in its hind legs to throw off the rider.

As part of the given rules in any bull riding competition, a rider should not touch himself, the rope, or the bull with his other hand. The rope is always coated with rosin, as well as the riders glove to prevent it from slipping. As safety measures, all riders are encouraged to come in the usual bull riding outfits. Apart from the gloves riders are expected to wear chaps as protective clothing for his legs and vest for his chest.

There had been heated arguments on the subject of bull riding and some animal welfare rights openly criticized the idea of it. They are against the use of hot shots or electric cattle prods which are used to ensure that bulls will run out once released from the chute. Supporters say that these are ultimately safe for the animals as the shots are mildly given and could in any way pose a grave threat to an animals health because they possess thick hides.

I should definitely go and watch this bull riding competition. Competitions like this amuse me as the skill of both the rider and the bull are very much witnessed by many.

The owner and staff of this unique hot-spot are friendly and super acccomodating.

Established in 2003 by an Israeli family, the specialty dishes at Moonshiva include falafel, pita bread, musaka, hummus, babaganush, as well as many others. Fresh seafood and vegetarian options are both available, as are options for the kids.

During the day, Moonshiva is a great spot to grab delicious Israeli inspired dishes. By evening, it changes into the hippest nightclub in town.. and THE PLACE to go to see Live Music.

Beneath Moon Shiva is it's Lounge Bar. Guest DJ's jam out with salsa, house music and more. Weeknights, this is really the only place to go in Monteverde for live music. Its also the place to go to get a feel for the community itself, its locals and travellers, a place to enjoy a coctail and shake your boots on the dance floor.

*Does your teen feel the urge to go on this adventure? If your teen is unsure, you may want to look for another activity or help them see the benefits. These trips are expensive and demanding. Though your teen may be apprehensive, you want to hear that she is looking forward to the challenge and is interested. Maybe you need to search for a program that is closer to your child's personality and interests.

* Flexibility! It is important that your child easily takes what comes their way. Life on one of these trip is not going to be like back home. If your child finds travel and change difficult or takes a long time to adjust to new situations and people, then a tour may be difficult and less enjoyable. Should yur child be shy its best to discuss your child's personality with the tour directors.

* Can your child meet the physical demands? Be realistic. Many trips require lots of hiking, biking, mountain climbing or camping. Make sure your teenager is willing and in good shape to participate in the activities.

* Mature and responsibility are a must. Can your teen handle the independence of a teen tour? Are they mature in their decision making? How do they do with peer pressure? Often, these programs give teens more freedom than they have at home. Be sure you know how your child will react to this kind of freedom and independence.

* Is your teen organized? Your teen will be responsible for packing and unpacking their belongings at several locations.
