Hannah Takes The Stairs: This film is every bit as unfocused and self-indulgent as its eponymous heroine. It's a Chicago production organization wage earner gratingly played by Gerwig who drifts through a succession of short-lived relations that aren't romances so much as one night stands. Cast includes Greta Gerwig, Kent Osborne, Andrew Bujalski, Ry Russo, and Mark Duplass. (83 minutes, 2007)
The Dying Gaul: The mourning author of an auto biographical screenplay becomes erotically intertwined with a smooth producer, who offers him 1,000,000 dollars to produce the venture as long as he makes the gay protagonists straight. In the mean time, he becomes spiritually intertwined with the producers spouse, a prior screenwriter turned housewife. Twists, catastrophes, and fine acting mark this brilliant although thick personality research. Cast includes Patricia Clarkson, Campbell Scott, Peter Sarsgaard, Ryan Miller, Robin Bartlett, Linda Emond, and Jason-Shane Scott. (101 minutes, 2005)
Michael Collins: Politically charged tale of Irish insurgent leader Collins (Neeson), who with charm, guts, and idealistic fervor leads the battle against British rule in Ireland. Dynamic and commanding first half gives way to more abstinent and unavoidable summarization, in which Collins is made an ambassador and negotiator, sowing the seeds of his own downfall. Neeson is phenomenal and works with a first-rate cast in this convincing, believable, and powerful period piece, beautifully filmed by Chris Menges. Cast includes Liam Neeson, Aidan Quinn, Julia Roberts, Stephen Rea, Alan Rickman, Ian Hart, Brendan Gleeson, and Charles Dance. (132 minutes, 1996)
License To Kill: One of James Bond's good friends is left near death at the hands of drug lord Franz Sanchez. Agent 007 is out to get Sanchez, without the support of M6. Unlike most Bond films, this one is personal for 007.

Tom Kubik is really Ron Chapman, and he is on trial in the military justice system for the murder of villagers in Latin America. Flatliners: A group of five medical students start imagining experiencing life after death. One by one, under controlled conditions, they die, and then bring themselves back to life. No one is prepared for the side effects the experience causes them all.
Alfie: Well redone rendition of Bill Naughton play he additionally inscribed. Caine is marvelous as philandering Cockney playboy who is put in a very tough situation.
