We are very lucky today because we have so many choices on foods that whenever we want to eat some, we almost do not know which ones to pick. As technology improved, so did the development of various brands of sweets, chips, sodas and more. We are even more fortunate because whenever we want to purchase some of these, we can always find them at the grocery, at a website and at the store in the corner.
No matter what kinds of food we love, we can surely find something as we have so many choices. We can have them in different sizes, colors, shapes, and even which country they should come from.
With the convenience of delivery systems today such as express mail, we have the chance to sample different food products of places we have never even gone to before. Imagine being able to savor the sweet and tangy mangoes of Asia, the sweet hampers filled of bittersweet chocolates from Africa and even the world-famous cheeses of Europe.
But that's for us children of the new generation. As we partake in nostalgia these amazing products of our time, have we ever wondered how it is during the time of our grandparents? Have we ever shown them these delicious treats we are enjoying now? Will they, too, be nostalgic when they taste the sweetness of our modern treats? Our grandparents are young once. They too went through the same phase we are in today. So what is it like during their time? How are sweets different then from now?
No one could give us the answer but our grandparents. We can ask them or observe their feelings through their expressions. By their faces we can tell if they remember those times when they were young and would scurry to gobble their favorite sweets from their mothers' sweet hampers. At this point, maybe they could tell us the difference between the treats of the present and the sweets of their childhood.
