Do you want to go to a baseball game, football game, or any sporting event? Do you want to go to see a concert starring your favorite band, or even a classical concert or opera? You can buy tickets to these events on ebay.

So how to buy tickets on ebay? Ebay has a great search tool when it comes to tickets for events. You can have your search be as narrow or broad as you like. You can search as narrowly as for a specific team, in a specific city, in a specific venue, on a specific day. Or you can be much broader than that by removing any of those variables. For instance, you may want to see tickets for all of the games that the Los Angeles Dodgers are playing during the month of July.

Going through ticket brokers almost certainly results in you paying the maximum amount. You can likely purchase tickets to events more cheaply on ebay than through a ticket broker.

Here are several tips and tricks to allow you to get tickets on ebay for less than you would at any other ticket service. Search for auctions that end during odd hours. Ideally, you want to find an auction that ends in the middle of the night. The reason for this is that most people try to wait until the final few minutes to bid for the tickets. This serves to drive the price up. There are fewer people awake in the middle of the night, so there are likely fewer people bidding then as well. When there are fewer bidders, the winning bidder will likely pay less for the tickets than if there were a greater number of bidders. Try to find auctions that end on weekdays as well. Same reason here. Fewer people are bidding during the week than on the weekends.

Establish a price that you are willing to pay for the tickets. Do not say one dollar is your maximum. Establish the most that you would ever consider paying for the tickets. Once you have that maximum in mind, do not bid above that amount. In fact, do not bid at all on the auction until the final few moments. Then, enter your maximum bid. You may win the auction and you likely will not have to pay you maximum amount. The ebay auction engine will adjust to find the lowest top price amongst those people with bids in. If you win, great! If you do not win, at least you did not over pay.

Look for misspellings. It is fairly common for people to list their auctions with typographical errors in them. If they make a typo on the auction listing line, very few people will be able to find their listing. If you are one of the lucky few who is able to find this auction, and if you were lucky enough to tin that auction, you will likely be able to get the tickets for a price far less than those people who purchased from a correctly spelled auction. This is because fewer people are bidding on the items and so the price likely will not get bid up as high.

There are so many people buying and selling tickets on ebay, some people are less than honest in their dealings. You may encounter some people selling fake tickets. Do not be scammed by people selling fake tickets on ebay. So before you spend your money, make sure the tickets are genuine.

To avoid being the victim of a fake ticket seller, check out the sellers rating. A rating of 95% or more is often a good sign. Make sure that the seller has been involved in many ticket sales. If there have been many transactions, especially many transactions where the seller was selling tickets, and they have a good rating, you are probably safe to deal with this seller. However, you should also check the comments left buy disgruntled buyers.

Try to make your payments via PayPal. If you wind up as the victim of a ticket fraud on ebay, you can usually have your money refunded through PayPal if you put your claim in soon afterwards.

You now know how to get tickets to those events on ebay. Now you can go out and safely and confidently buy tickets to theater and sporting events without having to overpay.
