In need of an outstanding getaway Ive found one. or re-discovered it. What you may ask is it called? It is the Sunshine Coast.
Years have passed since my feet have set foot on the pristine beaches. From the memories I hold which do not do it justice, it offers more than I remember or have ever imagined. The sunshine which is endless, of course it is a given, which accommodates to all ages and interests.
This year my whole family decided to spend our time at the Noosa. That was a time to remember, and for boys the time of teenage romance. They engulfed their time surfing the curl and showing off their bodies to the teenage girls at the beach. The waves were such a spectacular site; the mounds of sandy castles, we took a multitude of pictures to share throughout the years.
Going underwater, at the Underwater World to see all the fish and sea life with the little ones was an exciting time. Maddy, was one of the seals, and we indeed received a big wet kiss from her each year. As my daughter, "squeeled", with extreme pleasure, not because of the animals but due to how close we were to them. We remembered to capture a picture, of this pleased event, at an extra cost, I might add, but after the glimpse of her face, which was priceless, it was definitely a keeper!
My brother and I were able to surpass everybody and sneak onto the regional golf course, not only to play once, but twice! The greens are so pristine and lavish that we were able to play with ease. I guess this wouldn't be sneaking when we opted to go back for a second time. Some of the things that you do with your siblings are so out of character
For my wife and sister-in-law, the girls had to quote them 'a fine time' wandering the local downtown and perusing the boutiques, purchasing several locally made souvenirs for the family back home.
We chose to stay at the Sheraton Noosa, it's rare to find a north beach - but they have it there, as such it is protected by the headland so it is great for swimming and surfing.
The Sheraton Noosa also had amenities that everyone could enjoy from spa treatments to the pool. The spa treatments of course, were loved by the ladies. The kids enjoyed watching the dolphins from the shores of the beach as well as swimming in the shallow waters of the ocean. When it came to the huge pool, which we spent many hours enjoying, we thought our children were going to sprout gills.
With a drink in hand, the sunset was enjoyed at the Noosa River, which was the way most evenings ended on the Sunshine Coast.
To sum up our vacation: * Sunshine * Golf * Shopping * Surfing * Spa treatments * Family interaction
All in all it was a wonderful vacation. I think for the first time I can honestly say that everyones interests were satisfied. Not an easy task with this group.
When you are in need of a vacation whether for or a few hours or a couple days with the family just drive your car, and then head down to the Sunshine Coast, "The ultimate place to share with your friends and family".
