Deciding on what radio controlled model to buy?

I don't think there is a product online that doesn't have an equivalent competitor or type, and this is very evident when deciding what type of radio controlled model to pick.

With a selection of hundreds, possibly thousands of makes and models to choose from, it isn't all that easy.

Even if you decide on the bulk standard remote control car, you end being offered three various categories to choose from - Nitro, Petrol or Electric. Choosing what to power the car with is an important step but this isn't just specific to cars.

The same dilemma applies to other radio controlled machines like truggies and buggies as well. So its very important to have an understanding of what you can afford and let someone such as an RC store help you.

Don't forgot to include all the on-going fuel and maintenance costs too. This is often overlooked, so don't make that mistake and ensure you can afford to run the model every week.

Taking to the skies is one of the favourite options for most newbies but choosing a radio controlled helicopter or plane can bring on a whole new set of costs especially at the front and as you really don't want to hold back on paying for a good model if its going to fly.

Plus if you spend more cash on a better model and you crash it - ouch, that's going to hit your pocket to, so be aware of all the pit falls before you purchase that must have model.

Fancy something a little different, well what about an RC tank or boat. Causing mayhem in the local lake or opening fire on your fellow RC buddies with BB rounds is awesome fun and something more and more people are starting to take up.

As a good starting point we suggest you speak to your local RC or hobby store and ask them to help you. Alternatively just drop us an email and we can always offer user advise.

There is no doubt that your final decision will be one that is designed through your process of elimination to bring you fun and enjoyment, so you can't go wrong.
