Take A Fantasy Cruise On Your Next Vacation

For most of us the opportunity to take a "vacation" comes once a year or even twice. You pack your family and the dog into Ye Olde Faithful and do the routine run to Des Moines or Wichita or Whatever! The destinations may differ from year to year, but the "vacation" comes with the standard features: motels all booked up, Junior realizes he wanted to go to summer camp after all, Baby's got the runs, and Suzie is crying over her first pimple! But sometimes, grudgingly rare sometimes, you want something special, really special. You got the directorship over Bill Grady, or maybe Helena has come back to you. Whatever the reason, you don't want to take a "vacation". You want a vacation, the genuine article, the real thing! OK, this is when you listen to that little voice in your head whispering with all the force of a Chinese-made 2 billion watt PMPO handheld MP3 player: "Cruise! Cruise!" You decide it can't be Tom, so you book yourself and the family (Ruff can stay with Mrs. Doherty) onto a fabulous magical vacation aboard the cruise ship "Mirabile Dictu". You don't know what it means but you also know that the father-in-law won't either!

The best thing is that when you pay the fare, it covers everything that can be counted as a normal vacation expense. Drinks depend on you so that charge is excluded. Off-board activities, like sight-seeing tours, are excluded. There might be a few more exceptions, but these are usually very reasonable and can be expected.

Once on board the cruise ship you'll be treated like VIPs by the attendants, and the whole ambience exudes luxury. Your designer room will be done up tastefully, with original art decorating the walls, and stylish furnishings. You won't find a thing which will detract from the 'luxury' label. You might very well fall in love with the decor! Which is very logical, since the designer has worked hard to that very end! You step out of the room, and you'll find every convenience and facility imaginable which you may require. The onboard decoration apart, you'll have that beautiful ocean view to rest your eyes on! The murmur of the waves, the cool breeze against your face, and that smell... recognize it? It's called FRESH air!

You have so many avenues of amusement, entertainment or just plain ol' fashioned relaxation open to you! Swimming pools, covered promenades, courts for games like shuffleboard and squash, reading rooms, beauty salons, spas, gyms, you name it and a courteous attendant will direct you to it. All these facilities are of the highest standard, and nothing short of luxurious. The evening entertainment is usually in the form of events performed on a grand scale by professional troupes. Some of the special guest artistes are specially flown in every day for the evening's entertainment. After all, they're called luxury cruise ships!

But what about the kids? Special camps are organized for children, covering a lot of interests, from computers to BeyBlade. They are happy as larks! And the baby? Baby can be put into the onboard baby-sitting service whenever you and the wife want some quality time for yourselves.

Let's talk money. You'll be pleasantly surprised that contrary to general opinion, these cruises do not require you to have an oil well in Texas to afford one! The cruise operators design the whole cruise in a very professional manner, taking the advice of financial and business experts. So they have "packages" or "plans" which are designed to suit every budget. The packages vary in two different aspects: tour duration, and accommodation. A three-day cruise will be appreciably cheaper than a fortnighter. Similarly, an interior room will be less expensive than a stateroom. Just to put things in perspective, a 'small' room on one of these cruise ships is as large as a large hotel room, so you're not exactly going to get cramps in that 'small' room!

Cruise ships have specialists who design activities and entertainment for all age groups and tastes, from chess tourneys to squash matches. Book yourself onto a cruise ship for your next vacation and enjoy the vacation of a lifetime!
