Mother's day is nearly here. This is the perfect opportunity to thank our Mom for all the effort and patience and love she's given us. Let's do it differently this year. Lets get creative!

Adults - Is your Mom a gardener? How about getting a gift card from her favorite garden center, then taking it to the local florist and asking them to include it in a beautiful bouquet? You could do the same thing with a gift card for her favorite shoe store as well.

Adults - Maybe your Mom enjoys gourmet food. Find a gift basket of gourmet goodies that suit her to a Tee, and hide it carefully.. Then write a note explaining how to find it. Take it to the local florist and ask them to include the note in a beautiful bouquet.

Adults - Send your Mom a Mother's Day tree or plant. Take photographs mounted on decorative paper or in small frames to your florist and ask him or her to tie them to a small tree or plant using matching ribbons.

Kids - Invite Mom to a movie. Take the movie section from a recent newspaper to your florist and ask them to add it to a box of flowers. Decorate the outside of the box with movie candy or candy and popcorn wrappers. Include a card letting Mom know she gets to pick the movie and you'll buy the tickets and treats.

Kids - Find a nice glass jar that's being thrown away and decorate it for Mothers Day. You could wrap it in either construction paper or tissue paper, write or draw on it and add ribbons an bows. Next, take it to your local florist and have them design a beautiful arrangement to put in it.

Kids - Find an easy cookie recipe, then get into the kitchen and bake up a batch for your Mom. Decorate them with sprinkles or frosting in the shape of a heart, or maybe little heart candies. Put them on a fancy plate, cover with plastic wrap, and add a pretty bow.

Whether her children are grown or still young, every mom deserves a special Mother's Day. Your florist will be delighted to help you express your love and respect in almost any creative way you can think of! They will also be able to offer some ideas of their own.
