Since I live in a few hundred thousand short of a city, I often find myself bored for excitment. Also, the needs of our family seem to be struggling with our economy. Whether its for fun or need, the supplies can be found at your local dollar store.
I went with the hopes of saving money, and was quite excited to find that many of the items I had been purchasing at other stores for a bit more money, was in stock for only a dollar! I know since I've lived in Arizona, Oregon, Texas, California, and Utah, that the dollar store isn't even very far away. I can't wait to tell you what I found so that we all can keep some extra bucks in our pocket this year.
The most surprising was what I have found for my ten month old son. The stock of baby items was very exciting. It has saved me quite a bit of money on all the odds and ends a small little person requires.
For example, all babies must eat and here you can purchase your sippy cups, small spoons, bowls, and bibs. To keep them dressed you can buy socks, wash cloths, and even onesies! Any parent will tell you that these products add up very quickly to a large expense, so buying them at merely a dollar a piece is incredible.
Besides my baby, my next favorite thing to do is cook. I can't quite tell if I find more enjoyment in cooking a great dish, or eating it. But either way, it's difficult to find enjoyment in cooking if you are lacking the appropriate tools. Cutting back so much in this economy, I have sadly found myself doing without quite a few essential cooking utensils at times.
Since food isn't all that's hard to come by, going to the dollar store for all these cooking devices helps master my feast. I bought a masher, spatula, whisk, brush for basting, a grater, and even a zester. I was also tempted by the variety of spoons for either straining, ladeling, serving, stirring, or just eating soup. They are stocked even with paring knives, steak knives, butcher knives, slicing knives or dicing knives. Just imagine how possible your culinary masterpiece can be.
Your kitchen also isn't complete without items like cling wrap, aluminum foil, casserole dishes, or large bowls. Also, the table can be adorned with cloth napkins, place mats, matching dish sets, and glasses that believe it or not are not disposable material. They come in glass and sturdy plastics from even possible color and design to choose from.
Also take a stroll down the cleaning aisle for rubber gloves, brushes and scrubbers to help keep your house tidy. Don't forget cleaning supplies from bathroom cleaner, to window cleaner, and even easy to use wipes for any surface. Whether your dusting, mopping, scrubbing or sanitizing, your supplied amply in the dollar store.
You do remember that all these items are constantly on sale for one dollar each? There isn't any department store that has rolled back their prices that far. It would be far to costly to overlook these finds for your family. Go and find all the treasures you need at your local dollar store.
