Play Paintball? Then You Need a Thermal Lens

Lets face it; if you cant see your opponent in a game of paintball, you have little chance of hitting them. Paintball relies heavily on your ability to spot your opponent.

A paintball mask is a very important piece of equipment. With much of the game of paintball relying on your vision, you want a mask that doesn't hinder your vision, and one that won't fog up when you are playing paintball.

Single pane lenses are a pane. Cheaper masks often come with single pane lenses. Even if they say they have fog protection, it wont last. After a couple of games, whatever was on the single pane lens to prevent fog will wear off and it will fog up.

When you are playing paintball, chances are you will get your blood pumping and your body will generate more heat. Unless you have a nice thermal lens, your mask will fog up.

It is amazingly hard to play paintball effectively with a fogged up paintball lens. You become about as effective as if you were playing with your eyes closed.

Thermal lenses cure fog problems. They will prevent fog from ruining a game of paintball. The air trapped between the two lenses in a thermal lens keep the lens fog free.

Whatever type of mask you have, you should be able to find a thermal lens for it. Thermal lenses are more expensive than single pane lenses, but they are well worth it.

For anyone that wants to play every game of paintball to their best ability, I recommend that they get a thermal lens. It is a great investment!
