Holes: A boy from an offbeat family is sent to an odd desert camp where it's believed that digging holes will develop one's character. As he gets to know the other black sheep amid the kids and staff pieces of his life start to come together and make sense. Cast includes Sigourney Weaver, Jon Voight, Patricia Arquette, Tim Blake Nelson, Dule Hill, Henry Winkler, Nate Davis, Rick Fox, Scott Plank, Eartha Kitt, Siobhan Fallon Hogan, and Brenden Jefferson. Alfred the Great: This tale of youthful leader of 9th-century England can't choose if it's a serious historical journal or wide swashbuckler and triumphs in neither. Cast includes David Hemmings, Michael York, Prunella Ransome, Colin Blakely, Julian Glover, and Ian McKellen. (122 minutes, 1969)

One Woman or Two: Paleontologist Depardieu finds the fossil thought to be of the first Frenchwoman. Crass advert exec Weaver is planning on capitalizing on this to sell fragrance. Cast includes Gerard Depardieu, Sigourney Weaver, Dr. Ruth Westheimer, Michel Aurnont, and Zabou. (97 minutes, 1985)

Dragonfly: An ER doctor, mourning for his lifeless spouse, acquires a succession of signals from her containing messages from other people who've had near-death experiences. What do they mean? More drawn out than it needs to be, although a captivating and abnormal tale of one guy's metaphysical odyssey. Cast includes Kevin Costner, Kathy Bates, Joe Morton, Ron Rifkin, Linda Seek, Susanna Thompson, Jacob Vargas, Jay Thomas, and Matt Craven. (103 minutes, 2002)

A Nightmare on Elm Street the Dream Child: The fifth in the Freddy Crugar series with everyone with the exception of Englund just going through the paces. Here, scarred, dream haunting Freddy Krueger (Englund) uses the unborn child of Wilcox to strike at her buddies. As typical, visual effects are a highlight however don't spare the film from being a bore. Cast includes Englund, Lisa Wilcox, Kelly Jo Minter, Erika Anderson, Whitby Hertford, and Danny Hassel. (89 minutes, 1989)

Just a Little Harmless Sex: After a spouse throws her husband out of the home (because he picked up a hooker one day) their matrimony is put in emergency mode. She brings her lady friends together for guidance, and he does the same with the gentlemen. Then they all unite at a local club. This film is a somewhat amusing, low cost romantic comedy with an extremely desirable cast. Cast includes Alison Eastwood, Lauren Hutton, Kimberly Williams, Jonathan Silverman, Jessica Lundy, Rachel Hunter, and William Ragsdale. (98 minutes, 1999)
