The State of Arizona is proud of its rich Native American history. In particular, it is recognized as the center of Native American art, and in fact has several museums that showcase them. As a result of this, artists both contemporary and modern are plentiful here; more and more people are getting in touch with their inner soul.

This connection to a person's innate artistry makes the craft fairs so popular in the area. The chance to showcase skills and talents with a lot more people leaves many an artisan excited; the fact that they also earn a bit on the side is just the icing on the cake. If you're an artist of craftsperson who has never been to a craft fair, then you have been missing out on a lot.

A lot of young artists show apprehension about attending craft shows simply because they do not know how to go about setting up a booth. I will try to explain how to go about starting up your booth; what you do with once it is up and running is entirely up to you and artistic vision. Don't worry much about it, though; it is actually a lot easier to start than it seems, you just have to now how to start.

First, go online and surf for a website with a listing of all shows that are scheduled to happen within the year. If you're just a beginner, it is advised to start with the non-juried craft shows. Aside from that, the other consideration is practicality: The distance of the craft show from where you live, the price of the booth and what comes with it, and other things.

After you've narrowed down the list of craft fairs that you might want to attend, get their contact information as well, and then communicate with some of the event organizers. many people forget that communication in any endeavor is vital, and then get angry when they believe that they were misinformed. Sometimes, the deal isn't what they expect it to be.

Always keep in mind that not every craft show runs things the same way. So if one show includes a booth with a tablecloth, and the other doesn't even include the chairs, don't be surprised. That's just how it is.
