Watering holes are the lifeline to animals and as such they attract animals which being the only water source for animals in the dry environment is a favourite for animals especially the large elephants. Elephant's hides have a tint of red a result of the colour of the soil and they become an interesting feature to watch as they move across the expansive landscape.

Other animals that's you will not fail to get a sight of are the Giraffe, Zebras, Kudu, Gazelles and a host of other animals found in the plains. Ornithologists have something to look forward to, birds. This region is credited to be home to more than 500 species of birds.
