Abe Lincoln or Abraham Lincoln is perhaps the most inspiring and well-loved of all the American Presidents. His life was a story so colorful- full of success, failures ands lessons. In fact the mere failures that he experienced are what made him so loved by his countrymen. Failures did not break him, but instead made him to be a man worthy to be the President of the United States of America.

Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of the United States. He served the office from 1861-1865. He was indeed considered to be one of the country's most famous President and his ways are admired and often emulated by many. He was the one responsible to lead the country through the great crisis of American Civil War and managed to end slavery. He was also known to be the first American President to be assassinated.

The life story of Abraham Lincoln was so inspiring that it was recognized to be the most adapted life story from all American President. There are many theatre plays and screen films dedicated in his memory. The Lincoln Fest 2009 is a Festival organized by The Champaign Country Historical Museum in remembrance of the 200th birthday of the American President. It was done in Virginia Theatre located in Champaign, Illinois for three days.

The three day event will feature films showing the life story of the American president from his early years in Illinois up to his rise in Presidency. There are also discussions among the filmmakers during movie play intervals. The movie will feature the inspiring and heartwarming tale of this poor boy who grew up to be one of the most celebrated presidents of America- just because he refused to give up.

Indeed his life story has been an inspiration for all of us who undergoes the same way. His failures included: losing several jobs, being kicked out of his home as a boy, his sweetheart died when they were engaged, he lost numerous times in the elections. These failures did not require him to quit. If ever he quitted on his first failure, perhaps United States of America will be a much different country by now.
