It wasn't that long ago that a trip to the corner video shop was the most convenient way to get a movie. As technologies have advanced, downloading dvds from movie download sites is becoming very common. Just about any movie every made can be attained through a movie download site now. Chocolat: Vianne, along with her young daughter, moves to a small village in southern France, and opens a chocolate shop. When she keeps her shop open on Sundays, the very religious town is up in arms. Eventually the spirit of the mother/daughter team wins over the town, and opens the minds of the conservative and religious people.

The Life of Emile Zola: Genuine biography of famed 19th-century French author who rose to cause of wrongly exiled Commander Dreyfus Schildkraut; detailed production filled with fine vignettes. Cast includes Paul Muni, Gale Sondergaard, Joseph Schildkraut, Gloria Holden, and Donald Crisp(116 minutes, 1937)

The Barretts of Wimpole Street: Handsome, well-performed, and most amusing MGM production of classic romance between Elizabeth Barrett and Robert Browning in 19thcentury England. Controller Franklin redid this 2 years later. Cast includes Norma Shearer, Fredric March, Charles Laughton, and Ian Wolfe. (110 minutes, 1934)

Marie Antoinette: Fable on life of famed 18th-century French monarch has remarkable Morgan in title role although requires point of view and scope. Cast includes Michele Morgan, Richard Todd, and Jean Morel. (105 minutes, 1955)

Holiday: First rendition of Philip Barry's play in reference to non-conformity is a delightful astonishment; an untidy early talkie with projecting that in some cases Astor, Owsley even tops the more renowned 1938 rendition. Horton plays the identical role in both films. Cast includes Ann Harding, Robert Ames, Mary Astor, Edward Everett Horton, Hedda Basket, and Monroe Owsley. (96 minutes, 1930)

Marianne and JuIiane: Profound, multilevel Ed, and memorable journal of the relation between 2 siblings, alike in some ways yet so extremely variant in others. Juliane Lampe is a feminist editor performing within the system; Marianne Sukowa is an extreme partisan alarmist. Cast includes Jutta Lampe, Barbara Sukowa, Rudiger Vogler, Doris Schade, and Franz Rudnick. (106 minutes, 1982)
