The Last Time I Saw Archie: Webb's lone try at comedy is less ludicrous than some of his more earnest films; a shame, since William Bowers' script-based on his own Army experiences had genuine potential, and Mitchum pleasantly underplays as the con guy. By the way, the genuine Archie Chamber sued for invasion of privacy. However fire inspector Van Damme is on the job and Boothe has foolishly seized our idol's baby girl. Cast includes Jean-Claude Van Darnme, Powers Boothe, Raymond J. Buffalo Bill: Vibrant biography of legendary Westerner should have been much more superior, however still grants some fun and has excellent cast. Cast includes Joel McCrea, Maureen O'Hara, Linda Damell, Thomas Mitchell, Anthony Quinn, Edgar Buchanan, Chief Thundercloud, and Sidney Blackmer. (90 minutes, 1944)
Foxtrot: O'Toole and his spouse escape Rumania in the late 1930s and shelter on an island heaven to hide from a planet getting ready to explode into battle. Al desires the bank robber to recoup 150,000 dollars of Capone's monies from a hotel in Chicago. The clever plot is increased by smooth acting jobs, although it eventually skids into a basic heist thriller. Cast includes Martin Sheen, F. Murray Abraham, Stephen Davies, Catherine Hicks, Don Stroud, Sasha Jenson, Michael Oliver, Jeffrey Combs, Michael C. Gwynne, Anthony Crivello, Bert Remsen, and Clint Howard. (94 minutes, 1995)
For Love of the Game: Likable film for Costner as a player with a twenty year baseball career who looks back on the last 5 years of his life throughout an eventful end of season game. Successfully played for megastar value and emotion, however goes into additional innings for no obvious rationale, extending out a summarization that comes as no astonishment. Cast includes Kevin Costner, Kelly Preston, John C. Reilly, Jena Malone, Brian Cox, J. K. Simmons, and Vin Scully. (137 minutes, 1999)
Digby the Bigest in the World: Meager comedy fantasy regarding fluid Venture X, which causes sheepdog Digby to grow to large scales. Poor visual effects, too. Cast includes Jim Dale, Spike Milligan, Milo O'Shea, Angela Douglas, and Norman Rossington. (88 minutes, 1974)
